Our practice is conveniently located in Dracut, Massachusetts and has been serving the Merrimack Valley for over 25 years. Our office has an outstanding Dentist, Terry L. Schrubb, DMD, along with our team of dental professionals and front desk associates who are active in the community. We are dedicated to ensuring a gentle and pleasant and dental experience and excellent patient care in a warm and friendly environment. Our entire team attends continuing education courses throughout the year to keep up with current knowledge, techniques and products that benefit our patients. Our team is committed to your overall health and we are sensitive to your physical and emotional health needs. Our purpose is to provide the highest level of preventive, restorative, and aesthetic care that will enhance our patients’ quality of life and self-image. We believe in cultivating healthy relationships within the community and actively participate in collecting donations for Toys for Tots and volunteering at local Health Fairs, as well as helping other various organizations to help people in need. Tammy-Jo Ransom – Office Administrator
Tammy-Jo Ransom is a resident of Dracut and is a graduate of Dracut Senior High School. Tammy has been working in the dental field for over 20 years she has experience working side by side assisting the dentist in clinical procedure. Tammy completed a Dental Radiology course at Boston University and is certified to take necessary clinical x-rays and she has also completed several courses at Middlesex Community College in Bedford, Mass to continue her education.
Prior to joining our team in 2005, Tammy has worked in different dental offices ranging from general dentistry to oral surgery. She has extensive knowledge about dental insurance and is enthusiastic about helping patients understand their benefits so they can schedule their appointments accordingly to get the treatment they need.
Tammy and her husband Lyle, also a lifelong resident of Dracut, enjoy spending time with their three young sons. Their family enjoys all types of activities from snowmobiling and ice fishing to spending summers up in the lakes region. Tammy also enjoys swimming, shopping and time with her friends.

Tanya McDonagh, Receptionist
Tanya was part of our team back in 1991 and is very happy to be part of our team again. Tanya has over 20 years of dental office experience and has exceptional knowledge of dental insurances and dental software. Tanya also has dental assisting experience and has taken many courses at Middlesex Community College in Bedford, MA to continue her education. Tanya graduated from Dracut High School and is a lifelong resident of Dracut, now residing in the neighboring town of Tyngsboro. In her free time, she enjoys scrapbooking and spending time with her friends and family.

Lisa Davey, Receptionist
Lisa joined Amerident Dental in 2011. She is a great addition to our team and our patients like her pleasant personality. Lisa completed a course at Boston University and is Radiology (X-ray) Certified. She lived in Dracut for many years and currently resides in neighboring Salem, NH. Lisa enjoys spending her free time with her family and friends. You will get to know her upbeat personality when she calls with a friendly reminder about your appointment and greeted by her smile when you enter the office to check in for your appointment.

Terry L. Schrubb, DMD
Dr. Schrubb is an outstanding dentist who is friendly, down to earth, and is gifted in his expertise. Just ask someone who has been treated by him!
After fulfilling his military obligations and a tour of duty in Vietnam with the First Marine Division, Dr. Schrubb earned his Bachelors of Science degree in Biophysics at the University of Pittsburgh, Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. Shortly thereafter, he attended Tufts University in Boston, Massachusetts, where he completed the requirements for his Doctor of Dental Medicine. Dr. Schrubb then entered the Navy Dental Corps as a Commissioned Officer where he was stationed in Okinawa, Japan with the Third Force Service Support Group under General Christmas, USMC. Upon resignation from active duty, he was awarded the Navy Commendation Medal.
Dr. Schrubb has been in private practice at Amerident Dental since 1990. He has a cheerful personality and thoroughly enjoys coming to work with his patients and team. His patients often express compliments to our team members on how happy they are to have Dr. Schrubb as their dentist. In his free time, Dr. Schrubb likes to spend time with his family and his horses.
Sovanna Sor – Certified Dental Assistant (CDA)
Sovanna is a valued member of our team. In May 2009, Sovanna received her degree in Dental Assisting from Middlesex Community College. She managed to graduate at the top of her class and received a number of awards for her academic excellence. She also attends many Continuing Education Courses to keep up with the current knowledge and to apply the most effective techniques available. Sovanna possesses excellent skills in dental assisting and loves working chair side along with Dr. Schrubb and patients. With an outgoing and “Can Do” attitude, Sovanna fits perfectly as a part of the team.
Sovanna is a mother of two wonderful daughters, Bethany and Elizabella. During her free time she enjoys spending time with her two daughters, sports, listening to music, cooking and exercising.

Alison Jean – Registered Dental Hygienist (RDH)
Alison joined our team in 2002, first as a Dental Assistant and in 2007 she became a Registered Dental Hygienist. She graduated from Middlesex Community College with Honors, where she was an active member of SADHA (Student American Dental Hygiene Association). Upon graduating she immediately obtained a Local Anesthesia Permit and frequently attends many Continuing Education Courses to keep up with current knowledge and apply the most effective techniques available. In May, 2012, Alison has also graduated with her Bachelor of Science in Dental Hygiene from the Fones School of Dental Hygiene at the University of Bridgeport, Bridgeport, Connecticut. In September, she will be attending Rivier College online to pursue her Master of Business Administration in Healthcare Administration degree.
Her friendly and caring personality can calm even the most anxious of patients and she truly relates having been one herself which led to sparking an interest in the dental field. Alison provides gentle and thorough care and listens to her patients’ concerns in order to provide a wonderful dental experience.
Prior to Alison become our team member, she was an Administrative Assistant for nearly 10 years after graduating with a Certificate in Business Technology from Greater Lowell Technical High School. Alison grew up in Tyngsboro and currently resides in Nashua, NH. She enjoys spending time with her friends and family and loves animals. Her hobbies include hiking, kayaking, horseback riding, piano and reading.

Kerry Marie Ward – Registered Dental Hygienist (RDH)
Kerry joined our team in 2005 as a Registered Dental Hygienist. Prior to this, she worked for five years as a Medical Secretary at a local hospital. She attained her Associates in Science in 1998 and then worked as a Certified Medical Assistant using her skills in Obstetrics, Pediatrics and Adult Medicine. In 2003 she pursued her education in Dental Hygiene. She graduated from Middlesex Community College as a Registered Dental Hygenist in 2005 with honors. She was elected President of her class and served as an active member of SADHA (Student American Dental Hygiene Association). Upon graduating, she obtained a Local Anesthesia Permit and frequently attends many Continuing Education Courses to keep up with current knowledge and apply the most affective techniques available.
Kerry has a warm personality and her positive attitude shows through her ability to listen to her patients’ concerns. She enjoys treating children and adults focusing on providing excellent patient care and comfortable dental experience.
Kerry is married to David and has three children, Brian, Mathew and Julia. During her free time, she enjoys relaxing by the pool, skiing, running and playing lacrosse and baseball with her children.
